Withdrawal button for online retailers and online service providers

From 19 June 2026*, a withdrawal button will be mandatory. Consumers must be able to withdraw from contracts concluded via a website or app just as easily as they can enter into them. The key points to note are listed below.

*The bill was passed without debate by the Senate on 7 April 2026. It is expected to come into force on 19 June 2026.
