Renee Schipper

Renée specializes in intellectual property as well information technology transactions and litigation. She also handles matters in the field of misleading advertisements and pharmaceutical law. Recent experience includes:

• Intellectual property litigation, mainly in copyright, trademark and patent matters, concerning fashion products, toys and pharmaceutical products.
• Drafting and negotiating research & development agreements as well as licensing & distribution agreements in the technological field.
• Advising on the legal issues with regard to financing of a technology start-up.
• Advising on creating and protecting security interests in intellectual property assets.
• Advising and litigating on ICT contracts and related disputes, including public tenders.  
• Misleading advertisement litigation concerning consumer goods, telecom products and pharmaceutical products.

Renée is a member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES), the NVvA and the Dutch VFenR.

Renée graduated from Maastricht University and was admitted to the bar in 2002. During her studies she went abroad to study at the University of Reading and the University of Aix-Marseille in Aix en Provence. 

Renée started practising intellectual property and information technology at CMS Derks Star Busmann (2002-2005). She continued her career in the IP and IT department of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (2005-2008). In July 2008 Renée joined Ventoux.
